VILLAGE INFO
May we offer a travel tip? Stop in friendly West Glacier Village
as you enter and leave the Park. It is your last chance to get gas and oil
before you start on the Going-to-the-Sun Road; even though it’s a
beautiful place to be stuck, you don ’t want to run out of gas in Glacier.
Stroll around, browse through the shops and visit the historic Belton
train depot and Belton Chalet. The Village includes a grocery store, restaurant
and bar, post office, ATM machine, pay phones, laundromat and lodging facilities.
Wireless Internet access is available at the Going-to-the-Sun Gift Shop,
and Glacier Photo offers film and digital services. Raft trips are offered
at Glacier Raft Company and the 18-hole Glacier View Golf Course is just
one mile from town.
If you’d like some suggestions on where to go in Glacier/Waterton, visit
the Alberta Visitors Center.
